Green Chile Capital Story
Originally from Albuquerque, I moved to Farmington in 2020. I have my Bachelor’s from New Mexico State University and my MBA from New Mexico Highlands University. I have worked in the business, finance, investing, retirement planning, insurance, risk management, and emergency management fields.
When I moved to Farmington, during the height of the Covid pandemic, it was hard to find gainful employment. There are not many options for somebody in my industry in the area. So as I laid in bed staring at the ceiling fan, ideas exploding in my head but my pockets were empty, and my networks nonexistent. As a newcomer to the Four-Corners, I knew that I wasn’t alone.
Talent in northwest New Mexico? We overflow with it here, but the opportunity to create and expand is limited. With no abundance of mentors to map the minefield, no lenders betting on “unproven” dreams. We aren’t failing—we are widely underserved.
That’s when it hit me: Success isn’t solo. It’s a relay, passing the baton in the dark. With that realization, Green Chile Capital was born—not for want, but out of necessity.
